Yesterday mister Fabio Pecchia participated in the meeting of the members of Panathlon Club, retracing the stages of his professional life, from his past as a player to his present as Parma coach. These are his statements: “I had the fortune and the opportunity to play in Serie A, with all the honors required, but several of my friends like me were unable to live a normal childhood, but despite the sacrifices they did not obtain the desired result. When I stopped playing I already thought I was ready to coach, I had played 300 games and had several coaches. At my first experience I took a beating and then I understood how important experience was, I took a step back and I’m set to study.

Speaking about the relationship with the coaches he met as a footballer: “I had a stormy relationship with several coaches, because I liked to be very direct. Many coaches appreciated it, the various Spallettis and Guidolins, some others less so. I was always on the side of the dressing room and I lived it from start to finish.”

This is the comment on the market rumors regarding his future: “All that is coming out are interferences that try to undermine the work done in the eighteen months since I was in Parma, they must be managed.”

On squad management: “I like managing the squad, I like managing the resources. A group of 27 players is made available to me and I want to get the most out of everyone. If a boy is calm off the pitch he will be a player who can express his potential, otherwise it’s complicated to get the most out of it from a technical point of view.”

The results are finally taking the team towards the promotion goal: “I arrived in Parma because I won in Cremona. When we left this year I saw that the city wanted me to win, that was the state of mind. The results are the fruit of the work of the club, all those involved they must work in this direction around them. I hope that the city will always be involved in this too. Even on Easter Monday I invite the people of Parma to follow us at the Tardini. We have a young team that thrives on sensations and enthusiasm, we want to create a climate of light-heartedness, it is a football match and it must be played, obviously to win.”
