In case there is a need, another highly accredited rumor arrives which demonstrates how Mr. Francisco Javier Rigau, ex-husband of Gina Lollobrigida, is not exactly a sincere man. Mr. Rigau claimed that he had come to the bedside from Spain and that he saw Gina still alive and that he was happy to have arrived in time to say goodbye to his ex-wife.
Instead, we learn that Mr. Rigau arrived about an hour and a half after the death. I can hardly imagine him having an argument with Gina at that point. And to say it not just anyone or his secretary Andrea Pezzolla who, as known, hates Rigau, but prof. Francesco Ruggiero, general practitioner, cardiologist and friend of Gina Lollobrigida. He revealed it on Wednesday afternoon to the microphones of La Vita in Diretta, the program hosted by Alberto Matano on Rai1.
The cardiologist continued: I want to say that she passed away peacefully, she had actually already been unconscious for at least a couple of days, so he fortunately does not notice the final passing. I had to hold back for a series of health and administrative tasks that fell to me as a doctor and cardiologist. Mr. Rigau arrived about an hour and a half after his death. I can hardly imagine him having an argument with Gina at that point. At the precise moment (of the death, ed) there was only one close friend. Then the son arrived and then I, after about a quarter of an hour.
Rigau, who in these days shows up everywhere with the air of an inconsolable widower, showed up all day Wednesday at the funeral home in the Capitol. He himself had said it: I arrived in time to say goodbye to Gina alive. I’m happy, she too. She was conscious. Same happened with son and grandson. They are at peace, quiet game, with the son, with the nephew and with me.
