As “Just Jared” reports, Dove Cameron retraced her first meeting with Damiano David during the interview with “Cosmopolitan” on the occasion of the digital cover of which she is the protagonist. “First time [che ci siamo visti] he was at the 2022 VMAs (MTV Video Music Awards) and his band and I were both up for the same award…. They asked me to open for them on their tour but I couldn’t… So when we met again at the 2023 VMAs, we had a reason to talk to each other. And when he came to me, I felt like… I don’t know, a year can do a lot – said the actress -. It felt like 10 years had passed or something. When we had met before, he was in a very different situation and so was I, so we didn’t perceive each other that way at all,” she said.
In the summer of the same year, in fact, Damiano broke up with his longtime girlfriend, Giorgia Soleri, and after that meeting at the VMAs things between Dove and the Måneskin frontman quickly took hold. «He told me: “We will start our world tour at Madison Square Garden”.
