Whether she received the proposal during the holidays remains a mystery, what is certain is that the presenter appears more serene today than ever and after the fairytale wedding celebrated live on TV on 19 June 2005 with Francesco Tottiand which resulted in a stormy separation to say the least, she seems ready to say yes again.
Her story with the German entrepreneur was born in 2022. As told in the Netflix documentary Unique, the two met at the airport in New York. «We were in the lounge, waiting for boarding to begin. He enters with a friend of his. We just look at each other, but there was a game of glances. He didn’t know who I was at all, he asked me what my name was on social media and we started messaging and getting to know each other. He immediately seemed honest, clean, unaware of all the incoming tsunami. He realized there was a divorce to deal with and I suggested he run away, but he stayed. He was very good because he understood the situation and entered slowly, he respected the times.”
In an interview with Verissimo she then added that at the time of the first meeting she had been alone for four months and she didn’t even think about finding a boyfriend. But it happened and the rest, as they say, is history.
But when will the wedding be? Considering that those directly involved have not even confirmed that they will take place, it is difficult to say. The rumors speak of summer 2026 but a lot also depends on what will happen with the ex-husband.
In fact, relations with Francesco Totti are anything but relaxed. The divorce hearing would be set for March 2026 but there are still many issues to be resolved and a postponement cannot be ruled out, which some say would be favored by the former Roma captain himself, out of spite towards his ex-wife.
