Lamezia Terme – Vasco Rossi on social media today, May 1st, announced the formation of the band in view of the tour. On drums is a real Lametino, Donald Renda. He will be the new drummer for “Vasco Live June 2024” after the exit of Matt Laug.

Donald began studying drums in Calabria in 1993. The following year he moved to Prato to attend courses in classical percussion, drums, solfeggio and piano at the G. Verdi music school in Prato. Over the years he has participated in numerous seminars of Italian and international drummers. Donald Renda boasts vast experience in pop with artists such as Biagio Antonacci, Noemi, Patty Pravo, Emma Marrone, Tananai, Gianni Morandi, Annalisa.

“Happy May 1st everyone! Today’s super news is that rehearsals have begun! This is a new beginning! We broke the ice, I tried out… my new shoes and the guys in the band tried out their instruments. Well… All’s well that begins well. Hurray”, said Vasco Rossi in a post introducing the group.

Here is the complete band announced by the same singer-songwriter for the June tour which starts from the San Siro Stadium in Milan with seven dates and then at the San Nicola in Bari with another 4 dates: “Vince Pastano (musical direction, guitars), Stef Burns ( guitar), Antonello D’urso (programming, acoustic guitar and backing vocals), Andrea Torresani (bass and backing vocals), Alberto Rocchetti (keyboards and backing vocals), Roberta Montanari (backing vocals), Donald Renda (drums), Andrea Ferrario (sax), Tiziano Bianchi (trumpet), Roberto Solimando (trombone), Solita guest… TDC star: Claudio Golinelli known as Il gallo”.
