William of England he is the man the English monarchy must rely on in this moment of profound crisis. Charles III, in fact, revealed at the beginning of the year that he was suffering from a tumor and, subsequently, the sovereign took a step back in his royal commitments, increasingly leaving the weight of the crown on his successor, the Prince of Wales and on other members of the royal family.
But in addition to his father’s serious illness, the future King of England is also managing another truly complicated situation. In fact, a few weeks ago, his wife Kate Middleton also revealed to the world, with a video shared on Instagram, that she is suffering from cancer and must undergo the necessary treatment for this disease. Alone to support the weight of the crown, William of England was able to count, however, on a unexpected ally: her stepmother Camilla.

The relationship between William of England and his father’s second wife, Camilla Parker Bowles, was certainly influenced by the end of the marriage of the future King’s parents and by the weight that the presence of the current Queen had on this separation: “As a teenager , William took the time to accept Camilla as ‘the other woman’ in his father’s life. His feelings towards her were complicated, having witnessed her mother’s unhappiness in her marriage. But maturity brought with it the realization that Camilla makes her father extremely happy… And the prince now knows that she is the love of her life.”
But, despite the events of the past, the two have always shown that they have cordial relations and, in recent times, their relationship has had to become even closer. William of England, in fact, he was able to count above all on Camilla to carry out the many commitments of the English crown.
The relations between the future King of England and his stepmother have, inevitably, intensified they found themselves side by side at various events: “Recent events have obviously brought William and Camilla much closer. They were left to care for the Crown while the King and Princess recovered. Their teams have been working more closely to coordinate diaries and cover commitments that have been planned, and Camilla and William have certainly been in much closer and regular contact.”

The two serious illnesses, announced by the palace, have, in fact, brought the two members of the English royal house closer together, as underlined by Jennie Bond, BBC correspondent for Windsor affairs OK!: “Aside from the work aspect, I’m sure they will have helped each other on an emotional level as well. They will both have been so worried about these unexpected health issues and I imagine they will have shared their concerns.”
According to the royal expert, between the Queen and the future King of England true affection would have flourished: “I think there is a real warmth and affection between Camilla and William now… They get on with their work when I’m sure they would rather be at home looking after their partners and/or children.”
