Back and forth between Antonella Clerici and Luciano Ligabue on the latter’s ‘no’ to participation in Sanremo 2010, guided by the presenter. In last night’s episode of ‘Belve’, Clerici revealed the name of the singer involved in the ‘sugo-gate’or the singer who, according to what she was told, refused her festival because she ‘tasted too much like sauce’: a reference to the hosting of many cooking programmes, probably, and a refusal which she had already spoken about in the past without ever doing the name of the person concerned.
But last night, as a guest of Francesca Fagnani on the Rai2 programme, Clerici said: “Many singers didn’t come to my Sanremo Festival due to some sort of prejudice. And one said: ‘It tastes too much like sauce’“. And to Fagnani’s question about who the singer was, Clerici replied: “So they told me, so I’ll start by saying: if it’s not true I apologize, but if it’s true I expect your apologies. The singer was Ligabue. I did everything to have him at my festival, I liked him so much, I imagined him and me going away on a Harley Davidson. I was so upset, coming from him this is even more serious. We both know about gravy, he’s a nice hunk, a little rough.”
Luciano Ligabue’s reply entrusted to social media is ready. In a video posted in Instagram stories, Ligabue replies: “Dear Antonella, no. I never said that you taste like sauce. Sorry if I smile but it’s really too absurd stuff. If I said no to your edition of Sanremo, it’s because I said no to several editions of Sanremo in which they invited me, for the reason that Sanremo puts a lot of tension on me and I prefer to make music in contexts where I feel more relaxed. So that’s the only reason I’m sorry that someone invented something like this but I’m even more sorry that you didn’t try to clarify things with me and dragged this nonsense along for so long. However, I heard you say that you would have apologized to me if this thing wasn’t true, so I accept your apologies and I hug you. Bye”, concludes the rocker from Correggio.
