In the province of Brescia both rates are confirmed to be increasing total injuries both the fatal accidents: the latter in the first five months of 2024 increased by 41.7% compared to 2023 going from 12 to 17.
This is what the CISL Safety Desk in Brescia says, having analyzed and processed the Inail data on reports of accidents and occupational diseases for the month of May 2024 and the first five months of the year compared with the same period in 2023.
An apparent piece of good news is the reduction in reports of occupational diseases to Inail. «In reality – underlines Paolo Reboni, who in the provincial secretary of the Cisl has the delegation for health and safety issues at work -, the problem of occupational diseases is their emergence. In other words: their decrease is strictly linked to not knowing the severity of the problem. It is no coincidence that the Inas Cisl patronage has structured a new service that ensures workers have a specialist team to assess their situation, guarantees administrative assistance and takes care of the possible presentation of the paperwork to Inail”.
