He had admitted that the vaccine against Covid-19 can cause thrombosis
London, 8 May. (askanews) – The vaccine produced by AstraZeneca against Covid has been withdrawn worldwide, the company has announced that it has begun recalling all batches of anti-Covid-19 products due to a “surplus of updated vaccines available” that target new variants of the virus. This has led to a drastic drop in demand for the AstraZeneca vaccine, which is no longer produced or even distributed. The pharmaceutical company added that it will withdraw the marketing authorizations for Vaxzevria in Europe.
Also weighing on the matter is the recent statement by the pharmaceutical company which at the end of April admitted for the first time that one of the side effects of its vaccine against Covid-19 could be thrombosis syndrome with thrombocytopenia (TTS).
According to British media reports, the admission could pave the way for multi-million dollar compensation for patients who suffered side effects after receiving the vaccine.
