Covid monitoring. Fewer swabs have been carried out but the number of cases is growing slightly

In the week between 25 April and 1 May 2024, the following were recorded: 618 new positive cases with a variation of +17.0% compared to the previous week (n: 528). This despite a reduced number of swabs, which were 76,553 compared to 100,622 the previous week, with a variation of -23.9%. Nine deaths. Hospital bed occupancy stable.

Regarding the progress of the Covid epidemiological situation, the data released by the Ministry of Health indicate that in the week between 25 April and 1 May 2024: 618 new positive cases were recorded with a variation of +17.0% compared to to the previous week (n: 528). This despite a reduced number of swabs, which were 76,553 compared to 100,622 the previous week, with a variation of -23.9%.

There were 9 deaths, with a variation of +28.6% compared to the previous week (n: 7). The positivity rate is 0.8% with a variation of +0.3% compared to the previous week (0.5%). As for the hospital situation, the employment rate in the medical area as of 05/01/2024 is equal to 0.9% (542 hospitalized), compared to 0.9% (570 hospitalized) on 04/24/2024; while the occupancy rate in intensive care as of 05/01/2024 is equal to 0.2% (18 hospitalized), compared to 0.2% (19 hospitalized) on 04/24/2024.
