“The data do not support an association between receipt of the Covid mRNA vaccine and sudden cardiac death among previously healthy young people.” This is what emerged from a new US study, conducted in Oregon, the results of which were announced by the US CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) in the latest “Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report”.
The study in detail
In April 2021, the CDC recalls, “cases of post-shield injection myocarditis were reported to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System, particularly among young males undergoing the vaccine. And after Covid vaccination was associated with myocarditis in this group of adolescents and young adults, concerns were raised about possible vaccine-related cardiac deaths in this age group.”
To investigate this correlation, the research team examined the death certificates of Oregon state residents between the ages of 16 and 30, who died between June 2021 and December 2022 from cardiac or undetermined causes of death . For identified decedents, records in the Oregon Immunization Information System were then reviewed.
The results
Among the 1,292 deaths identified, the CDC explained, “Covid-19 was cited as the cause of 30. For another 101 it was not possible to exclude a cause of cardiac death”. Among these deceased, Immunization Information System data was available for 88, three of whom had received an mRNA vaccination against Covid-19 within 100 days of death. Of the 40 deaths that occurred among people who had received a dose of the mRna anti-Covid vaccine, 3 occurred within 100 days following vaccination. But 2 of these deaths were attributed to underlying chronic conditions, and a single decedent had an undetermined cause of death.
In short, the authors conclude, “no death certificate attributed death to vaccination. The data collected does not support an association between receipt of the anti-Covid mRNA vaccine and sudden cardiac death among young people.”

Speakers regarding the research included Matteo Bassetti, director of the Infectious Diseases Clinic of the San Matteo Polyclinic in Genoa and Roberto Burioni, professor of Microbiology and Virology at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University of Milan. “What do we discover with serious and well-conducted studies? That sudden deaths are more frequent among those not vaccinated for Covid-19. And now what will the usual charlatans say?”, Bassetti reported, commenting on the results of the investigation on X.
“Yet another study that objectively demonstrates (numbers in hand) how vaccination against Covid has nothing to do with the sudden illnesses of young people. It’s time to resign ourselves to the fact that the Earth is not flat,” Burioni tweeted instead.
