In the last seven days, 39 new cases of Covid-19 have been registered in Tuscany: 26 confirmed with a molecular swab and the other 13 with a rapid test.

The number of infected people detected in the region since the beginning of the pandemic therefore rises to 1,653,744. To date, 171 are still positive. The number of recoveries grew by 0.00% (28 people) and reached 1,641,072 (99.2% of total cases). To date, 8 people are hospitalized (2 more than the previous week, up 33.3%). ), of which 1 (1 more) is in intensive care. 163 are in isolation at home because they have mild symptoms that do not require hospital treatment or are symptom-free (9 more than the previous week, up 5.8%). No new deaths have been recorded in the last week.The trend by provinceWith the latest cases, the number of positive cases since the beginning of the emergency in the municipalities of the metropolitan city of Florence rises to 441,631 (12 more than the previous week), 107,122 in the province of Prato (2 more), 128,078 in Pistoia (2 more ), 86,847 in Massa Carrara (2 more), 180,072 in Lucca (4 more), 194,475 in Pisa (3 more), 152,837 in Livorno (2 more), 149,501 in Arezzo (5 more), 118,684 in Siena (5 more) and 92,900 in Grosseto (2 more).

Tuscany has approximately 45,160 total cases per 100,000 inhabitants since the beginning of the pandemic (between residents and non-residents). At the moment the notification province with the highest rate is Lucca (with 47,117 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants), followed by Livorno (46,796) and Pisa (46,618). Therefore, 12,501 deaths remain since the beginning of the epidemic: 3,921 in the metropolitan city of Florence, 988 in the province of Prato, 1,137 in Pistoia, 750 in Massa Carrara, 1,118 in Lucca, 1,415 in Pisa, 939 in Livorno, 814 in Arezzo, 732 in Siena, 473 in Grosseto.

214 people who died on Tuscan soil but were residents outside the region must be added. The raw mortality rate for Covid-19 (number of deaths/resident population) is currently 341.4 per 100 thousand residents. As regards the provinces, the highest mortality rate is found in Massa Carrara (399.8 per 100 thousand inhabitants), followed by Florence (396.8 x100,000) and Pistoia (392.4 x100,000), while the lowest is in Grosseto (218.3 x100,000).
