A serious loss has struck the actor Linen Pillow: his Father Clelio he passed away at the age of 78. Medico highly esteemed general practitioner, his passing aroused deep condolences in Marsica, as reported by local news. For years Dr. Clelio Guanciale practiced between Avezzano and Collelongo, becoming a point of reference for numerous patients thanks to his dedication, availability and a special human approach to the profession. Alongside work, he had kept alive a strong passion for football since his youth, which had made him a well-known figure even outside the healthcare sector.
Lino Guanciale, his father Clelio has died
Clelio Guanciale’s path is closely linked to that of his son Lino, who initially undertook a similar path to his, passing the admission test to the faculty of Medicine. Later, however, the choice changed direction: first studies in Literature and Philosophy at La Sapienza University, then entry to the Silvio D’Amico National Academy of Dramatic Art. “It was a huge disappointment for my father. He wanted me to be a doctoruntil one evening I found the courage to tell him that I wanted to become an actor. We discussed for two hours and in the end he told me: okay, tell me how I can help you”, said the protagonist of Commissioner Ricciardi in an interview. From that moment on, Clelio was a constant supporter of his son’s career, proudly following his path which in the space of a few years led him to become one of the most esteemed and popular actors on the Italian film scene. “At first my parents were desperate but then they were very determined to stay close to me. Faced with my firm decision, they made the only truly sensible choice: they were always present, they never missed a show. In addition to Lino, Clelio also leaves behind his other son Giorgio, a psychotherapist.

Guanciale, farewell to mother Mariapia in 2024
For Lino Guanciale, this is the second very serious loss in just over a year. In March 2024, in fact, his mother Mariapia Ceccarellini she passed away suddenly at the age of 74. On that occasion the actor had written a poignant social dedication to his mother a few days after her death, reporting the verses of a song by Sergio Endrigo:
“This is the most beautiful”, you said every time you heard it and you couldn’t resist: you had to sing it, even in a low voice. For seven days you have been the air around us, you are in the other room – as your beloved Saint Augustine writes – and you are the heat inside the chest. You sing it and dedicate it to us, I imagine, to tell us that you are there and that you stay close to us, to caress us with your sweet and intelligent smile. And we listen to you, we of the race of those left on the ground. And with our eyes closed we sing it with you. Bye, Mom.”
