The state of health of Kate Middleton is a source of concern. In March 2024, the Princess of Wales announced that she had cancer and since then there have been updates and hypotheses about the treatments she is following. The Palace has maintained complete privacy, communicating only some (little) news regarding the Princess’ conditions.
Now, on the eve of the celebration of Trooping The Colour, King Charles’ “official” birthday, Kate Middleton has decided to share a new message through her Instagram profile, updating everyone on her condition and announcing that she will soon be attending an engagement again of the English Crown. The Princess of Wales, in fact, will be present to the next Trooping The Colour.
Kate Middleton confirms presence at Trooping the Colour
Kate Middleton has been for several years one of the protagonists of Trooping the Colour, a military event which takes place in June and which also celebrates the sovereign’s birthday.
His presence, however, at the 2024 edition of the parade was not confirmed at all but, now, with a message Instagram, the Princess of Wales has finally announced her participation. The wife of William of England first of all wanted to thank her for all the love she received: “I have been amazed by all the kind messages of support and encouragement over the last two months. She really made a difference to me and William and helped us both through some more difficult times.”
Afterwards, the Princess spoke about her current state of health, characterized by some improvements: “I’m making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days. On those bad days you feel weak, tired and you have to give in to your body, resting. But on good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling good. My treatment is ongoing and will be for a few more months. On days when I feel pretty good, it’s a joy to engage with school life, dedicate personal time to the things that give me energy and positivity, as well as start doing a little job from home.”
Finally, Kate Middleton expressed her joy about the upcoming participation in Trooping the Color 2024: “I can’t wait to participate in The King’s Birthday Parade this weekend with my family”.
Kate Middleton, the next royal engagements
Kate Middleton has revealed that she will once again participate in a public event of the English Crown: the Trooping the Colour. But the Princess has not excluded others engagements next: “I hope to join some public engagements during the summer, but knowing equally that I’m not out of the woods yet. I’m learning to be patient, especially with uncertainty. Taking each day as it comes, listening to my body and giving myself this necessary time to heal. Thank you very much for your continued understanding and to all of you who so courageously shared your stories with me.”
The Trooping the Color 2024 ceremony will include some changes to the court ceremonial, specifically to encourage the participation of King Charles III, who is also convalescent.
