Meghan and Harry news, tensions and arguments over their children’s privacy

One, at most two official photos, a few shots stolen by the paparazzi and brief appearances in the Netflix documentary Harry & Meghan: This is all we have of the children of the Dukes of Sussex. We barely know what Archie (4 years old) and Lilibet (2 years old) look like and, apparently, it is a specific decision of the prince. The Sussexes, in fact, would disagree on the privacy of the children with Meghan more inclined to make them known to the world and Harry determined to keep them away from the press and social media.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry: is there tension over their children’s privacy?

If there is one thing that the prince apparently learned from his personal story, it is that living in the spotlight only brings problems. After the death of his mother chased by paparazzi, the pressure of the tabloids when he was young and the legal battles between Meghan and the English press, he is determined to protect his children from the same fate. Why move to California away from the royal family if not to be able to live a more secluded life? Meghan, however, would not have exactly the same opinion. A source told the Sun that “Harry and Meghan don’t always agree on the extent to which they should expose their children to the media, but Harry clearly won.”

The Duchess has always wanted to get back active on social media, so much so that she is now launching her new lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard on Instagram and probably wouldn’t be so strict in keeping her children away from the media. The categorical no, therefore, comes from Harry. The Sussexes are currently working on two new shows for Netflix. In one of these Markle herself will appear to talk about the “joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining and friendship”. Privacy, however, will be guaranteed to the maximum: the filming will not take place in the couple’s house but in that of one of their neighbors and we must not expect surprise appearances from the little princes: “their children will not appear in either of the two programmes”.
