Ligabue, attack on Clerici after Belve: Fagnani’s reaction

The singer denies the presenter’s version, who accused him of saying to Belve: “I’m not going to Sanremo, Clerici tastes too much like sauce”. The “Liga” tweet reshared by Fagnani.

Genuine and outspoken. As always. Antonella Clericione of “beasts” interviewed last night by Fagnanibegan the space dedicated to her a little with the handbrake on, but then got into the right gear, giving some gems destined to spark discussion. The presenter of “It’s always midday” removed the filters on Rai 2 and spoke about horn (“I’ve had a lot, I even told Sandra Bullock”), sex (“It’s a succulent thing, I would never do it with a vegan”) and he didn’t even spare mum Raiaccused of lack of gratitude (“Never one to say thank you, I would have expected at least a pat on the back”. Also Barbara D’Urso she was a target of “Antonellina”, who said clearly that she didn’t love her because she was “disgraceful on a personal level: in 2011 there was the betrayal of my partner and she opened Pomeriggio 5 by saying ‘Tomorrow there is Eddy’s lover’. I would never have done it.” However, the strongest passage of the interview with Belve was undoubtedly the one relating to the now famous gravy-gatecomplete with an accusation launched by Antonella Clerici to Ligabue, who immediately replied (in a piqued manner) via social media. Here’s what happened.

Antonella Clerici to Belve: the accusation against Ligabue

When Fagnani asked her: “What makes you angry”, Antonella Clerici said diplomacy put aside and launched into the unexpected j’accuse against Ligabue, one of the most iconic voices in Italian music: “I get angry when they tell me I taste too much like sauce. Many singers didn’t come to my Sanremo Festival due to some sort of prejudice. And one said: ‘It tastes too much like sauce’ “. Faced with this assist, Fagnani immediately sensed the scoop and asked Clerici who the artist in question was, who then decided to remove a pebble (or a boulder) which he carried in his shoe from 2010: “Ok, I’ll tell you everything, even who it is. Yes it happened during mine Sanremo Festival. I said it once live. I want to specify this thing was reported to me, it’s not like this person confronted me in my face and told me I tasted like gravy. At this point I say that If it’s not true I’ll apologizeif it’s true I should receive an apology. It’s about Ligabue. I did everything to have him at my festival, I liked him so much, I imagined him and me going away on a Harley Davidson. Instead it went like this, it was a disappointment because I made it more free-range. I was so upset, coming from him this thing is even more serious. We both know about sauce, he’s nice malea little rough.”

The passage in question, as expected, did not go unnoticed and became a typical trend of the evening on social media and headline material for most of the sector’s websites. Perhaps also for this reason Ligabue, brought up against him in spite of himself during one of the most popular and followed Rai broadcasts, decided to respond decisively and almost in real time to theaccusation received.

Ligabue responds to Clerici

Has the mystery (and the culprit) of the “sugo-gate” been revealed? Not even for a thought. Ligabue, not even two hours after the interview with Antonella Clerici was broadcast, responded to her via “X” (the former Twitter) completely denying the version given by the presenter to Belve:

“Dear @antoclerici obviously I have never said something like that, certain phrases don’t belong to me”

The message – concise, clear and also rather “cold” – was also shared by Francesca Fagnani (with an accompanying message: “The answer has arrived”), while at the moment Antonella has not yet intervened to reply to the singer. What will happen now? Given the premise made by Clerici before the “bombshell” accusation launched against the singer (“If it’s not true I’ll apologize.”, a message of peace from him could arrive in Ligabue soon. Unless Antonella decides not to believe the “Liga” denial. At that point, the sauce gate could provide further and unpredictable twists.
