William returns to social media for the first time after Kate Middleton’s cancer announcement

William, president of the Football Association, visited the Lionesses in June 2022 during a training session on the St George’s Park pitch in the town of Burton-upon-Trent. Then, before the Euro 2022 final (the Lionesses won, beating Germany), William and Charlotte had wished the English women’s national football team a happy birthday with a video released on the Princes of Wales’ Instagram profile. “We both want to wish the lionesses good luck tonight, you played very well in the championship and we are rooting for you until the end!”, the prince said. And Charlotte, with a shy smile, added: «Good luck, I hope you win. HI!”.
