Enrica Bonaccorti talks about herself on the pages of Corriere della Sera starting from her long and adventurous friendship with Renato Zero
Driving a Rolls-Royce: «A friend had lent it to us, we walked around Rome all dressed in black, with cowboy hats. We took the Cristoforo Colombo, I was driving. We crashed. Desperate, we wanted to have it repaired secretly, but we didn’t have a penny, we had to confess, the owner forgave us.”
Inseparable.
«We met in Piazza Navona, our open-air office. We were 20 years old. We spent the days like this, waiting for the miracle. With Renato my heart melted, I felt that he had an explosive strength inside. We did cabaret shows. I accompanied him in my mother’s beige 500, so as not to make him go around alone, already wearing feathers, make-up and tight onesies. Sometimes I would put on my mom’s suit and bag and pretend to be his manager. “Hello, I would like to offer you Renato Fiacchini’s show”».
One step away from the wedding. “It was a joke. I asked him a while ago. “Renà, do you remember that you wanted to marry me?”. “Enrì, I must have been drunk”».
Bonaccorti talks about her decision to have her breasts redone to reduce them because she was too ashamed of them: «With exuberant breasts, which flourish from 16 onwards. The boys’ constant jokes annoyed me. I felt wanted just for that reason, I was quoting Ungaretti to distract them. I dreamed of being thin like Catherine Spaak, I imagined coming out of the sea with a wet t-shirt on her small breasts and straight hair, but instead I had curly hair. To hide I curved my shoulders, my classmates stuck their feathers in the middle of my neckline.”

«I lost my father at 19, my mother was a teacher, I couldn’t rely on her, I had to earn money. I did theatre, it wasn’t enough. I already had my daughter. But it wasn’t a dirty magazine, alongside the sexy photos there were articles from Eco and Arbasino. Berti, Zanicchi and Sabina Ciuffini also did it. They paid me 2 million lire. On the set I was ashamed: when the photographer touched my leg I screamed.”
