Her husband, Jay-Zwas the first musician to become a billionaire in 2019. Then in the club they joined Rihanna, Bruce Springsteen e Taylor Swift. And now it’s her turn: like this Beyoncé has become a billionaire. At just 44 years old, the singer, born Beyoncé Giselle Knowles, is the fifth artist to be part of the select group circle of the ultra-rich drawn up by Forbes.

According to the business magazine, the business empire began in 2010 with the founding of Parkwood Entertainmenta management and production company that has control of all its artistic ventures: music, concerts and documentaries. “The production company has gained control of almost every aspect of his career: it runs his business and produces music, documentaries and concerts, front-loading most of the production costs to get a bigger share of the final profits,” writes Forbes.

Looking at Beyoncé’s various earnings, there are “Approximately $60 million received by Netflix for the 2019 documentary ‘Homecoming: A Film by Beyoncé’ and $50 million for her performance during halftime of the first NFL Christmas game, broadcast by Netflix in 2024.” Finally, in 2023 Beyoncé produced a concert film, following a strategy already adopted by her colleague Taylor Swifttaken from the ‘Renaissance World Tour’. The film “was distributed through the AMC theater chain and grossed nearly half of its $44 million global gross.”

But the biggest profits depend on the music. The first is the tour’Cowboy Carter‘, which grossed over $400 million from ticket sales and another $50 million from merchandising. Then there’s the world tour’Renaissance‘ which ensured him an income of 579 million dollars. While Beyoncé has diversified into becoming an entrepreneur – her ventures include a hair care brand, a whiskey label and a clothing line – the majority of his fortune is supported by music royalties.

“I felt I wanted to follow in the footsteps of Madonna and be a powerhouse, have my own empire and show other women that, when you get to this point in your career, you don’t have to sign with someone else and share your money and your success: you can do it on your own” the artist declared in a 2013 interview to promote the album ‘Beyoncé’.
