The Suzuki Jimny it’s a off-road much loved and also loved by preparers who use it as a basis to create very particular customized versions. One of the latest is based on the 5-seater model of the Jimny and was created by the Japanese tuner Damd. Its peculiarity? A look that recalls the models Lancia.

THIS IS HOW THE JIMNY CHANGES

The result of the Japanese tuner’s customization work is a model called Army. Although the overall shapes of the off-road vehicle have not been changed, the front has been revised to recall the models of the Italian car manufacturer. THE circular headlights and grille they come directly from Damd’s Little D kit which allows you to give the Jimny a look reminiscent of that of the Lancia Delta HF Integrale.

But this time, the sporty bumpers, flared wheel arches and spoiler have been ditched in favor of a more off-road-oriented aesthetic. The fog lights have been moved higher, while the new bumper features a metallic finish and an integrated skid plate.

Armata also features four additional LEDs on the roof to improve visibility and the rear-view mirrors are also new. Furthermore, this reinterpretation of the Japanese off-road vehicle also adopts matching OZ Racing rims specific tires for off-road. The tuner did not share any particular technical details but the set-up has been raised.

No modifications to the engine. Under the hood we always find the 4-cylinder aspirated engine with 1.5 liter displacement able to go and deliver 105 CV. Engine combined with a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 4-speed automatic gearbox. Of course there is all-wheel drive. Damd says that by 2026 it will offer a complete kit to transform a 5-door Jimny into the Armata. All these new features will be shown at the Tokyo Auto Show which kicks off on January 9th.
