Xiaomi EV, la automotive division of the Chinese technology giant Xiaomiis preparing for a 2026 full of news. Unlike what previously emerged, in fact, there will not be three new models arriving in the coming months, but four. According to industrial sources, the Chinese car manufacturer will present the restyling of the SU7, a new one, next year Executive variant of the same SU7 e two electric SUVs equipped with range extendersone with five seats and the other with seven. The objective is to confirm and improve the excellent results achieved so far.
When will the new models arrive
The Xiaomi strategy for 2026 provides for a staggered release of these four models. The SU7 facelift and seven-seater SUV are expected to arrive in the first half of the year, while the launch of the Executive version and the five-seater SUV is expected in the second part of 2026. The new SUVs will introduce an increasingly popular hybrid formula in China, which involves a combustion engine used as a generator to recharge the battery and increase the vehicle’s overall range. In particular, the seven-seater model, internally known as the code name Kunlunwill be aimed at families and will be positioned similarly to models already on the market such as the Li Auto L9 or the Leapmotor D19.
The Kunlun SUV will be a medium-large sized vehicle and will be equipped with a battery pack exceeding 70 kWhcapable of guaranteeing a range in purely electric mode of between 400 km and 500 km. Xiaomi plans to focus on significant production volumes for both versions of the SUVs, with the aim of consolidating its presence in a particularly competitive sector.
At the same time, the SU7 will continue to represent the heart of the Xiaomi range. After its debut in March 2024, which saw the model directly challenge the Tesla Model 3 with a more competitive price, the sedan will be the subject of an update that should arrive in the first half of next year. The restyling will bring significant improvements, accompanied by a increase in price list (we are talking about around €3,000, around 20,000 yuan). The most interesting innovation, however, concerns the Executive version, which will stand out for its extended wheelbase and a rear passenger compartment designed for the comfort of business passengers or demanding families.
YU9, YU7 GT e SU7 L
In addition to these models, other reports anticipate thearrival of three further models in the development phase. It’s about the YU9a large SUV that will be the brand’s first extended-range model YU7 GTa sporty variant of the current SUV, and the SU7 La new long-wheelbase sedan.
Despite its relatively recent entry into the electricity market, Xiaomi EV has already achieved surprising results. In the first eleven months of 2025, deliveries exceeded 361,000 units, bringing the cumulative total above 500,000 vehicles. An important milestone that has allowed the brand to exceed its annual target of 350,000 deliveries well in advance. The data shows how the brand is growing thanks to an increasingly complex range and a technological proposal capable of attracting both the most price-conscious customers and those looking for performance and comfort.
