Answer-The plague of charging stations installed and never activated (but accounted for in the astonishing numbers of charging points deployed in Italy and sometimes reported as available in the Apps…) is a sad Italian record. So much so that some readers they suspect a planned boycott.

In our opinion it is rather a question of “distraction” or disinterest by the major top-up networks. Who have installed rain systems, have accumulated tens of thousands of charging points and now, waiting for better times, have actually abandoned management. The case reported by Leonardo concerns Be Charged (Eni Plenitude group), second operator in Italy with 20,000 charging points.

For example in that of a reader from Bologna which dates back a year ago. Despite the public complaint, which we sent directly to the interested parties (Be Charge and the Municipality of Bologna) 11 months after the situation has not changed at all. The same reader sent us this photo taken a few days ago.

Same situation (apart from a few more scratches on the charging station), and even the same smart guy who pretends to be charging in a charging station that has been inactive for more than 3 years now. No intervention, no explanation.

But only one certainty: the installation costs of every charging station that has ever been activated and which therefore has never produced a single euro of revenue, weigh on tariffs practiced to customers, who in the meantime they have doubled.
