During the management of 2023, Nova Coop recorded a positive financial result thanks to the achievement of the company objectives set for productivity and profitability. This made it possible to distribute both the variable collective salary and individual performance-based bonuses.
In fact, with the May paycheck, they were paid 6 million euros in bonuses of results to the approximately 4,600 employees of Nova Coop, a consumer cooperative of the Coop system with headquarters in Vercelli and sales points in Piedmont and upper Lombardy. Nova Coop closed 2023 with a net profit of 28.39 million euros.
How much is the bonus
The average value of the bonus is 735 euros for a fourth level full-time employee, to which further individual bonuses are added based on the objectives achieved.

The financial result we achieved is the result of our ability to react and continually adapt to the unpredictability of the scenarios in which we find ourselves operating and great credit for this must be given to the constant commitment of our people, with whom we share once more every success, confirming the characteristic that distinguishes us of wanting to produce wealth in order to distribute wealth” comments the president of Nova Coop Ernesto Dalle Rive.

As a Cooperative, with this provision, only in the last two years have we been able to pay our people performance bonuses for a total value of more than 8 million euros, in recognition of the great commitment and professionalism demonstrated by everyone in the field” adds Maura Sammartino, director Nova Coop Human Resources.
Nova Coop 2023 results: net profit over 28 million
In recent days Nova Coop approved the 2023 budget, with numbers that made everyone happy. The company ended the year with a net profit of 28.39 million euros. Net worth, at the end of 2023, was 852 million and 462 thousand euros, recording an increase of over 30 million euros compared to the previous year.
In 2023, sales from Nova Coop’s traditional supermarket and hypermarket network contributed to the revenues for a total of 1 billion and 67 million euros, by registering one growth of 3.85% compared to the previous year. Analyzing the absolute network data, the Cooperative observed an increase in the number of receipts issued by 4.12%, accompanied by a slight decline in the average receipt of 0.26%. These indicators suggest a return of consumers to previous purchasing habits, a phenomenon also highlighted by the recovery in business volumes of the refreshment points present inside the stores.
2023 saw a notable increase in sales of Coop brand products, which represented over 32% of the total, with a total of 72 million items sold. This signals strong consumer appreciation for the Coop brand offering, which has proven to be in line with the needs of convenience and sustainability of families’ purchasing power.
