Recognition of workers’ contribution to results

Paolo Citterio, coordinator of Fabi in the group, explains that «the one achieved with today’s agreement is an important union result which, among other things, allows for significant economic improvements and transparency in the methods of disbursement of the bonus. In short, the work to improve forecasts continues for the benefit of Intesa Sanpaolo employees, whose contribution allows us to achieve unprecedented budget results for the group.”

The negotiated bonus rises to 165 million euros

From First Cisl they explain that the agreement relates to the 2024 financial year and can be paid in 2025 and provides for an increase in the so-called “bonus pool”, i.e. the amount intended to feed the reward system negotiated for the staff: overall it will reach 165 million euros , about 10 million more than last year.

Domenico Iodice, national secretary of First Cisl, says that «the agreement strengthens the instruments of certainty, collectability and sociability of the bonus as a form of collective remuneration: on the one hand, it increases its basic value, recognized to all workers, while on the other hand, access to excellence is guaranteed upon achievement of the expected results, without any prior limit on the number of potential beneficiaries. Furthermore, intergenerational solidarity finds space among the social acquisitions of the agreement, as access to the reward system is guaranteed, for the 2024 financial year, even to those who will be hired during the year after 30 June 2024, with a recognition of 400 euros, which constitutes a more favorable rule”.

Attention to lower incomes

In the reading of the secretary responsible for Fisac Cgil of the IntesaSanpaolo Group, Roberto Malano, the agreement «continues in the redistribution in favor of the lowest incomes that we have been pursuing for some seasons, defining a guaranteed basic bonus that starts from 1,150 euros for the most low with an increase of 12% compared to last year, thus consolidating with collective bargaining a good part of the 2023 bonus which is being paid in recent days in light of the excellent results of the Group. Furthermore, we have raised the threshold to 39,000 euros which guarantees a further increase of 100 euros in the prize.”
