The new C3 Aircross shares the platform with its younger sister C3 (recently renewed). Smart Carswhich allows not only to rationalize costs but also to offer a vast range of engines, from electric to the more traditional combustion ones.
SQUARE SHAPES – The Citroën C3 Aircross it is characterized by the new style of the French company, inaugurated with the Oli concept car, with a rather vertical front and the three-segment light signature. The passage from shapes rounded of the previous model to the plus ones squared it brought a more aggressive appearance, thanks also to a high and horizontal bonnet, wider tracks and shoulders that wrap around larger wheels. The verticality of the front is also found in the rear, where the rear window descends almost perpendicular towards the ground.
MORE SPACE EVEN BEHIND – The increase in length translates into better habitability on board. Although it has not released images of the passenger compartment, the manufacturer claims that the long wheelbase of the Citroën C3 Aircross allows you to offer passengers more space for the legs, even for those who sit in the third rowwhere there are a pair of retractable seats (it remains to be seen whether it will be standard equipment or offered as an option). The new C3 Aircross also promises increased ground clearance and, consequently, a higher driving position for better visibility.
ELECTRIC AND PETROL – For the moment there Citroën did not indicate how the range of engines will be made up of C3 Aircross, but we can imagine that it will follow that of its little sister C3. So a fully electric variant will certainly be available equipped with a 113 HP unit powered for a range of around 400 km. There will be no shortage of thermal variants, based on 3 cylinder 1.2 petrol 100 HP or 136 HP light hybrid. We will know more in a few weeks, when the launch date approaches, expected by the summer.
