in Friuli the money in the bank doesn’t pay off

Current account yields based on the rate.

Keep money in the bank? In Friuli is not convenient: according to the Fabi analysis on the interest rate, in fact, ours is the region in which, after Campania, the current accounts yield less. There Autonomous Federation of Italian Bankers has in fact published research on the territorial divergences between the returns on bank deposits: in Fvg you earn almost a third compared to Trentino Alto Adige.

In fact, for account holders in Trento and Bolzano, a deposit of 5 thousand euros earns 18.2 euros a year; to the Friulians only 7 (interest rate of 0.14%) or 11.2 euros less. As mentioned, only Campania is worse off than us: 6.5 euros in 12 months. And this despite the ECB having raised rates several times.

At a geographical level, the account holders of the central and north-eastern Italy they would be the luckiest, but our region is evidently an exception. Suffice it to say that in Trentino Alto Adige (the best area for current account yields), the average rate is 0.64 while in Friuli it stops at 0.25.

TO depending on the consistency of the deposits, in Fvg the yield is 0.14 (up to 50 thousand euros), 0.17 from 50 to 100 thousand euros; 0.22 from 100 to 250 thousand euros and 0.46 above 250 thousand euros. All percentages lower than the Italian average where the rates are respectively 0.21; by 0.27; of 0.34 and 0.63.
