Viareggio-Repaci, special prizes to Likmeta, Reanda and Oliveri – Books – Il libro in piazza

The winners of the special awards of the 95th edition of the Viareggio-Rèpaci literary prize have been announced: the jury awarded the international Viareggio-Versilia prize to Anita Likmeta, the journalistic one to Giovanna Reanda while for the first work it was awarded to Alice Valeria Oliveri .

The winners for the poetry and non-fiction categories will also be announced on July 10th, with Stefano Dal Bianco (Paradiso, Garzanti), Mariangela Gualtieri (Bello Mondo, Einaudi), Laura Pugno (I nomes, La nave di Teseo), Laura Pugno (I nomes, La nave di Teseo), and Pierluigi Battista (My heroes, The Ship of Theseus), Francesco Gambino (In the room with the law, The Ship of Theseus), Vincenzo Trione (Celestial Prologue, Einaudi).

On Friday 26 July in Piazza Mazzini in Viareggio, the authors of the books entered into the finalist trio, in dialogue with the jury, will present their works to the public, while on Saturday 27 July at 9pm the final evening will be held with the announcement of the winner for the category narrative which sees candidates Silvia Avallone (Black Heart, Rizzoli), Federica De Paolis, (On the Mother’s Side, Feltrinelli) and Marco Lodoli (Tanto Poco, Einaudi), and the awards ceremony for the winners, for each section, of the Viareggio prize -Rèpaci 2024.
