Submission of applications is underway

The procedures for the assignment of scholarships for the 2023/2024 school year and for the free or semi-free supply of textbooks for the 2024/2025 school year begin.

The “scholarships” measure provides for the provision of contributions of an average value of two hundred euros for Apulian students who have attended secondary institutions (high schools) belonging to families in the current 2023/24 school year. low income.

The overall investment is 7,825,058 euros, drawn from regional resources PR Puglia FESR-FSE+ 2021–2027 and on the ministerial ones of Single fund for student welfare and the right to study.

Starting from 12.00 on Friday 7 June 2024, it will be possible to submit a request for access to the benefit of the scholarships by students or, if minors, by those who exercise parental responsibility or guardianship/curatorship only and exclusively online through the platform www.studioinpuglia.regione.puglia.it, in the scholarships section.

The regional measure aimed at the free or semi-free supply of textbooks is instead dedicated to students belonging to low-income families of state and private lower secondary institutions (middle schools and high schools) present in the regional territory. for the next school year 2024/2025 and involves a total investment of 11,637,430 euros.

Starting from 12.00 on 17 June 2024 it will be possible to submit the request for the supply of textbooks by one of the parents, or by whoever exercises parental responsibility or guardianship/curatorship or by the student himself, if an adult, exclusively electronically through the www.studioinpuglia platform.gione.puglia.it, in the Textbooks section as 2024/2025.

This year too, a second time window is planned, which will be active from 12:00 on 5 September 2024, to allow families who did not submit an application in the first window to still be able to benefit from the aforementioned contribution.

The access requirement for both the provision of scholarships and the supply of textbooks is belonging to families with an Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator (ISEE) of no more than 11,000 euros, raising this limit to 14,000 euros in case of large families with 3 or more children.

The raising of the ISEE threshold to 11,000 euros is an important innovation introduced starting this year, which will further expand the range of beneficiaries who until now had been excluded.

The platform will acquire the ISEE data directly from the INPS database, therefore at the time of submitting the application it is necessary that a valid ISEE certificate is already available for the family unit in the INPS system.

The recognition of the textbook benefit for the 2024/2025 school year, assigned through the Municipalities, will be preceded by verification of the student’s residence, school attendance, and the actual expenditure incurred in the case of reimbursement of expenses.

“These are two interventions aimed at combating school dropout and dropping out and therefore at fulfilling compulsory education, through support for the expenses necessary for school attendance,” said the regional education councilor who added: “we wanted to continue and encourage concrete responses to the impressive number of requests we receive every year. A symptom that we have intercepted a concrete need of our children and their families in difficult conditions. For this reason we have decided to raise the ISEE threshold: a signal that demonstrates the importance of the right to education for us. I want to say to these children and their families that they are not and will not be alone: the Puglia Region will continue to guarantee all the necessary support so that all Apulian students have the same opportunities”.
