In front of these four giants there is no country, theItaly or any other, who can compete from an economic point of view, financial, scientific research, new technologies, from the artificial intelligence, from the weapons or diplomacy and for this reason with Emma Bonino, more than politics, us we propose a major reform and strengthening of of Europe in the United States of Europe, precisely to create a another global hub of great democratic and Western tradition”.
Over 20 years ago you had two important courages: that of expressing your sexual orientation, when it was even more complicated than today, and also that of saying “I am part of Freemasonry”. What was more complicated?
“Neither, because people like me come from one tradition of democratic liberalism and of secular relations with the Anglo-Saxon world of Northern Europe, These are two normal things in those worlds there. Only in Italy were homosexuals and Freemasons separately understood to be forced or forced into silence or to dissimulation.
