Saturday May 11th, at 5.30 pm, at the Mariele Ventre Gardens, the presentation of “The Book House“, edited byTrekking Group Association “Progetto Terra”.
The Book House is a small, welcoming “mini-library” in the shape of a house, where everyone can take or put away books without needing a membership. With this small project, the Progetto Terra Association wants to promote the exchange of books between adults, children and young people who live in the Pastena neighborhood and who frequent the Villa Giardini Mariele Ventre.
A small gesture of sharing to rediscover and cultivate the pleasure of reading by borrowing a book without any constraints other than the responsibility of returning it and putting it back for others who want to read it.
The municipal councilor Fabio Polverino – president of the budget council commission – and the municipal councilor Alessandra Francese will participate in the initiative.
1. The project involves the collaboration of various associative, cultural and training resources in the Salerno area including the Federica Panciulo Training Center, Monica Martucci’s YoYo playroom and the La Rosa di Gerico Association of Serenella Cestaro; in the future, many other cultural resources will be involved in workshop activities for children, teenagers and adults, conferences, seminars and book presentation events;
2. During the presentation of the Little House there will be laboratory activities for children, music and the opportunity to speak with the curators of the Project;
3. There will be the Holy Blessing of the House by the Parish Priest Don Francesco of the Volto Santo Parish.
