MESSINA – First night of books and libraries. The Councilor for Culture and Tourism Enzo Caruso presents today’s initiative which brings together several public and private entities. Provincial Library of the Capuchins, Regional University Library “Giacomo Longo”, Municipal Library “Tommaso Cannizzaro at Palacultura are among the promoters of the initiative.
With them, the Bonanzinga, Feltrinelli, Colapesce bookshops and two Mondadori bookshops (Ciofalo and Doralice) which, together with some city cultural associations (Intervolumina, Terremoti di Carta, Anatolè, Wind of Change, Associazione Italiana Amici del Presepio – Messina section), they have created an evening full of events, meetings and new discoveries, within their premises at pre-established times.

The regional library is also open in the evening
Opening of the regional library, in via I Settembre, from 6pm and also in the evening from 8pm to 10.30pm for Book Night. The program includes a visit to the exhibitions on Antonello and Pascoli and the illustration of the Library’s services, including ancient and modern books. A particular moment will be reserved for the book burning of 1933 in Germany, with readings, videos and dedicated bibliographic exhibition.
