In the Stemmi Room the presentation of the book “R4

The book “R4 – From Billancourt to via Caetani” by the journalist and writer Piero Trellini, published by Mondadori, will be presented on Thursday 9 May, at 6pm, in the Coat of Arms room of Palazzo Soardi, in via Frattini 60. The author, in presenting his latest work, he will dialogue with Giovanni Francesio, editorial director of Neri Pozza.

The event was wanted and organized by the President of the City Council of Mantua Massimo Allegretti to create the opportunity to meet one of the most surprising Italian writers of recent years.
The book tells the story of the “30 million machine”, which contains an astonishing series of news, anecdotes and famous names. “It is a book on the history of France, Italy, Europe – they write about the volume -. It is a book that recounts the terrible days of the Moro kidnapping, carved into the harsh and cold atmosphere of the Piombo years”.

“The extraordinary power of telling a story through an object, in this case a car – underlined President Allegretti – whose tragic epilogue occurred exactly 46 years ago in via Caetani, where the body of Aldo Moro was found in the R4 . Through the presentation of this book, I want to remember one of the most controversial moments in Republican History. I believe that the murder of Aldo Moro is to Italy what the murder of President Kennedy is to America.”
