“Underline the social value of books”

On the occasion of “May of books”, the national campaign born in 2011 with the aim of underlining the social value of books as a key element of personal, cultural and civil growth, the distribution of “Pan Parlante” envelopes. These are food paper shopping bags with reading notes printed on them, all extracted from volumes in the municipal library of Palazzo Eroli. “They are readings for children – explain the Municipality -, which offer valuable food for thought even to adults, to read at the table, in one of the most shared moments of the day.

The invitation of the ‘May of Books’ is in fact precisely to bring books and reading to contexts other than traditional ones, to intercept those who usually do not read but who may be intrigued if stimulated in the right way. And what better place than the table to stimulate the ‘hunger’ to read, learn, imagine and dream? While waiting to discover the initiatives organized as part of the reading month, it is possible to find the ‘PanParlante’ envelopes and many reading pills in the bakeries of the Narna area for every Saturday in May”.
