Sardinia protagonist of Turin International Book Fair.

On the occasion of the 36th edition, next Friday 10 May, at 12 pm, in the Auditorium of the Lingotto Congress Center, the professors Alessandro Barbero (University of Eastern Piedmont) e Alessandro Soddu (University of Sassari) will present the volumes The time of the vandals and the byzantines and The time of the judges published by Ilisso between 2022 and 2023, and edited by the archaeologists Sabrina Cisci (Superintendence of Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape for the metropolitan city of Cagliari and the provinces of Oristano and Southern Sardinia), Rossana Martorelli (University of Cagliari) and by the historian Giovanni Serreli (Institute of History of Mediterranean Europe of the CNR). The two volumes are part of the prestigious Culture, History and Archeology of Sardinia series, directed by Tatiana Cossu (University of Cagliari).

It will be about a unique opportunity to present and make known to a wide audience of readers the specificity and universality of the political, religious, economic and cultural events of the Middle Ages of Sardinia.

The event is sold out for a few weeks already, but a part of the seats in the room will always be available without reservation. Furthermore, the Ilisso program includes numerous in-depth studies which will be held at the Aes stand, K106-L105, Pavilion 2. Among these, on 9 May at 5.30 pm, Alessandro Soddu and Giovanni Serreli will discuss Eleonora d’Arborea and the Carta de Logu. A meeting focused on the famous collection of laws in the Sardinian language, which spanned different eras and remained in force until 1827, and on its promulgator Eleonora d’Arborea.
