Publishing: Sergio Polimene new CEO of Emons libri & audiolibri

News at home Emons books & audiobooks: Sergio Polimene in fact he takes on the role of CEO, succeeding Axel Huckfounding member and CEO since 2007.

Roman, born in 1970, trained as a bookseller in the historic Rinascita bookshop in Rome, Polimene arrived at Emons in 2009 where he held the position of commercial director, followed by that of editorial director in 2016 and general director of the publishing house in 2020.

Founded in 2007 by three German partners (Axel Huck, Hejo Emons and Viktoria von Schirach), Emons was the first brand that brought audiobooks to the general public in Italy. As explained in the note, with the exponential growth of audio, Emons founded, in March 2020, Emons Record, a new division of the publishing house, strongly supported by Polimene, specialized in the production of podcasts and audioseries.

From September 2023, in collaboration with Studio Tracksthe new production company was founded Emons workshopsa start-up equipped with three recording rooms for audiobooks, podcasts and audioseries, which also produces for all the major publishers and platforms operating in Italy.

To enrich the audio offer, a production of paper books: to series German detective stories and guides”111”, added the Audionotesaudiobooks in a notebook, and the series Emons Raga,
dedicated to children’s fiction.
