The new library network of the Municipality of Cesena also passes through Sant’Egidio. There is a week left until the opening of the community hub in via Cervese 1260, a place of aggregation, socialization and meeting where users, in addition to the normal consultation and lending services, will be able to benefit from a wide range of citizen services, from social at the easy counter.
Con.te.sto Sant’Egidio, which can be accessed for free, will therefore be much more than a library: it will be a new home for the neighborhood with numerous services dedicated to the community. Different counters will be active at different times and days to facilitate access to municipal services (registry office, nursery school registration, SPID and much more), to improve personal assistance, but also to introduce citizens to new support services and garrison of the territory. Specifically, in these spaces totally renovated on the basis of the project defined by the municipal administration, in agreement with the district, users will find the territorial easy help desk where they can request permits, certifications, registrations, documents and passes, at which they can book in view of the start of the service (https://www.comune.cesena.fc.it/articoli/prenotazioni-servizi-sportello-facile/), Easy digital (SPID, Electronic Health Record, online services), territorial social service, real support for people in a state of fragility, with socioeconomic needs or at risk of marginalization, and implementation of initiatives for the prevention and promotion of social well-being, inclusive activities aimed at very young people, the Municipality’s Youth Project and the InVisible Project, which every Tuesday, from 09:00 to 12:00, starting from the “Beyond the Street” project, promoted and coordinated by the Emilia-Romagna Region, it will develop monitoring and contact actions in the context of prostitution practiced in closed places (apartments, night clubs, massage centres).
Ample space will also be dedicated to promoting reading. As happened in Borello, in the hub of Piazza San Pietro in Solfrino 465, also in this case, the experience of a real neighborhood library will begin, equipped with a book heritage of 4 thousand works and over one hundred games for table, where you can carry out workshops, gaming, study, research and play activities. The library spaces are also equipped to transform, depending on the days and times, into an activity room where school presentations and meetings organized by the District can be hosted.
The inauguration of this new neighborhood hub will be held on Tuesday 7 May at 12.30 in the presence of municipal administrators, the Cervese Sud neighborhood and the community. Starting from that day, until May 12th, there will be many activities proposed by the city library network Con.te.sto. to the public to learn about and learn more about the services offered.
