Ukraine-Palestine, Orsini presents his new book: “An unprecedented perspective on the ongoing wars that undermines Eurocentric schemes”

In this new book published by PaperFirst, Alessandro Orsini talks about the war in Ukraine and the bombing of Gaza, attacking the clichés and fake news spread by the dominant media. With his simple and direct prose, Orsini resorts to sociological theory to provide a new interpretation of the ongoing wars, undermining the mental patterns with which the Eurocentric man – who lives on prejudices and clichés – perceives, judges and evaluates the international politics. The book introduces, for the first time in Italy, the literature on state terrorism that Orsini applies to case of Israel. The first chapter is dedicated to the superiority complexes that pushed the West to underestimate and mock Russia. The second is dedicated to Hamas and the attack on 7 October 2023. The third al bombing of Gaza and the Israeli regime in the Palestinian territories. The fourth contains four lessons on scientific mentality to learn to analyze international politics without Eurocentric superiority complexes. The fifth chapter talks about Orsini’s predictions on the war in Ukraine and introduces the epistemological debate on prediction in the social sciences, with very simple examples related to the invasion of Putin.
