The novel tinged with crime by the Neapolitan writer Daniela Merola is presented at the literary festival dedicated to the protagonists in uniform. The Military Competition Academy of Avellino is pleased to announce that the third meeting of the literary review “Books in the Academy” will take place on Tuesday 30 April 2024, at 6.00 pm.
The formula
One appointment a month with literature at the ACM headquarters in Avellino, in via Capozzi, 28, in front of the entrance to the ASL AV2. The cycle of presentations concerns novels and essays whose protagonists or themes are law enforcement and military forces. A world to discover between detective stories, investigative thrillers, adventures, but also history and insights. From time to time, journalists and experts on the topics covered take turns conducting and dialogue with the author, accompanied by the reading of some passages.
The third date
Tuesday 30 April 2024, at 6.00 pm, is the turn of Daniela Merola’s novel “I giorni del Cobra” (LFA Edizioni, 2023). The journalist and artistic director of the event Eleonora Davide will dialogue with the author. The actor Paolo De Vito will read some passages from the book.
The event, organized by the Davide Totaro Military Competition Academy, is supported by: Friends of the Police Association, National Infantryman Association, Italian Sailors Association, National Federation of Fighters and Veterans, National Union of Officers on Leave of Italy, Association Tankers of Italy, WWWITALIA, Irpinia in the Library.
The book “The days of Corbra” by Daniela Merola
Nothing is the same for those who have met Cobra, a serial killer who rapes and kills defenseless women in Castellammare di Stabia. There is only one victim spared and her name is Dora Neri, a friend of Commissioner Giulia Cangiato, who leads the investigations with Inspector Manuele Basilio and the team from via Alcide De Gasperi. His first novel is “Marta, un soffio di vita” (2019), published with Lfapublisher. With the the same publishing house released the second novel “The Right Way” in 2021.
