Montalto di Castro – We receive and publish – With regional funding in the municipal library the “Tana libri per tutti” project starts with a series of laboratory, dissemination, training and knowledge of the territory activities, scheduled for the period from May to October.

A rich program resulting from a shared plan between the municipal administration, the Solidarity and Culture Foundation and the Il Bianconiglio bookshop, aimed not only at adults but above all at children to whom the workshops and animated readings for age groups are mainly aimed ages 3-6 and 6-11 years and between 11 and 15 years creative writing workshops.

“A real restyling of the library – declares the Councilor for Culture Annamaria Fabi – is the action we have undertaken thanks to the funds provided by the Lazio region which initially allowed us to purchase new PC stations, improve the wi- fi and provide panels with new graphics that will identify the municipal library. Secondly, we worked on the ability to enhance the role that the library has in the local context, making it a versatile place full of stimuli. A container – concludes Fabi – open to the needs of citizens, close to families, students and a point of reference for young people because the library is the place where access to information and creativity is accessible to all. I thank the Solidarity and Culture Foundation and the Il Bianconiglio bookshop for believing in the potential of our municipal library”.

“Saturday together – parents and children”, initiatives that fall within the “May of books”, “Walking around San Sisto”, workshops, creative writing and conferences are the micro-exhibitions within Tana libri per tutti. A walk around San Sisto will lead us through the many lives of the Monumental Complex; Maremma storie, created by the Il Bianconiglio bookshop, already in its second edition, and sponsored by the Municipality, will catapult us into the literary works of authors of the caliber of Ravera, Restuccia, Anechoum, Pasquini, Naspini and Ranno. The now classic creative workshops and animated literature for young readers are back, plus a creative writing course for aspiring writers. With conferences on Saturday together – parents and children, professionals in the sector will address the topic of parenting in which joy joins the challenges and doubts of this role.
