Milazzo – The two latest books by Enzo Basso, Il Caso Montante and Provaci still Antonello, will be presented in tandem on Tuesday 7 May at 6pm at Palazzo D’Amico in Milazzo. After the greetings of the mayor Pippo Midili and those of the councilor for culture Lydia Russo, moderated by Diego Celi and Pino Privitera, the former president of the National Anti-Mafia Commission Nicola Morra and the associate professor of the University of Messina will dialogue with the author , Raffaele Manduca.
At the center of the meeting-debate, the rise of the former anti-mafia champion of Confindustria Sicilia, Antonello Montante, the power network built to take over the Sicilian Region and the close complicity that allowed the former entrepreneur of Msa Spa, a company declared bankrupt, to regain possession of his companies, despite the ongoing trials in Asti and Caltanissetta in which he is accused.
A cross-section of the last ten years of the political-judicial life of the island, which is still being discussed in the courts, and which has led to two reports from the regional and national anti-mafia commissions, with a final surprise: the report from the national commission, after months of hearings, was not approved due to the obvious complicities and embarrassments that emerged, topics that are at the center of the two investigative books written by Enzo Basso.
