The cultural association “La Finestra sull’Arte” of Mosso, in collaboration with “Opera Pia Sella”, presents the second evening of the XIII Edition of the “Cultural Encounters”, curated by Lelia Zangrossi and Franco Bianchini, who this year have as “Books and Authors” theme.
The book that will be presented on Wednesday 24 April at 9.00 pm in the Auditorium of the Gae Aulenti school in Mosso, in Via Q. Sella 42, is: “History does not teach. Eleven months of my life in Russia.”
The text was written by Aurelio Mazzone (1917-1987), second lieutenant of the Acqui Army Corps, from the day of departure on 22 June 1942, to the Russian front, until his return on 22 May 1943.
The diary includes both the notes from the war diary and the clarifications, expansions and considerations inserted subsequently into the text without interruption, as if they had been written at the time of the events.
The evening will be introduced by Marinella Mazzone: President of the “Centro Studi Giovanni Turcotti”, as well as daughter of the author of the book and Marcello Vaudano, historian, President of “DocBi” and author of the preface to the book itself
