Descriptive text here

The art of Elena Brovelli, on display in Milan during the Design Week. The works of the artist from Anger are the protagonists of two events organized within the Fuorisalone. Her canvases, where fabrics take shape and become contemporary art, can be admired in an exhibition dedicated to her at the Art Events gallery and in a collective exhibition at the Bonsaininja studios.

The artist

The artist’s journey began with a unique fabric: a fabric whose genesis she still searches for today. Elena begins to dedicate herself totally to art following a complex period in her life, a period of time in which every aspect of her existence is called into question. Through a study of the material, the artist searches for herself: her works are the main expressive channel through which to reconstruct her life, her experiences. Her paintings are a medium for telling one’s story, reconstructing her past, rediscovering her most complex years. The fabric, in Elena’s hands, responds differently each time. In fact, it is her hands that are the artist’s creative means, through which she gives shape to her paintings: the creative act becomes an act of self-acceptance and self-healing. By shaping matter, Elena shapes herself: contrasts, ambivalences, pains and joys are represented through different colors and shapes. Her art allows her to be, to go beyond, to lay herself bare in front of her public who can know the true essence of her, going beyond her appearances.
