Via De Amicis inaugurated by grandmother Bruna

Monday 08 April 2024 – 18:30

The new road surface of via De Amicis in Sant’Ermo, the oldest street in the village, was inaugurated with a special ribbon cutting: the scissors, in fact, were held by the oldest woman in the town, the 90-year-old Brunette accompanied by her great-grandchild Giulio, in the presence of the mayor Mirko Terreni.

A painting measuring 4 meters by 1.50, donated by the painter Gianpaolo Conti Livorno but Santermino for about ten years, it has been placed in the street. The painting represents Via De Amicis at the time it was called via delle Palanchewhen the SanTermini played bowls there for money.

To the painting by the painter Conti, the Santermini have affixed another one, created by a local artisan workshop, with the old writing “Via delle palanche”. And after the classic toast, a return to the past could not be missing, with a nice bowling tournament for adults and children.

In the programs of the SanTermini, the hope that Via De Amicis will become the street of artists and that Conti’s painting will be the first of a long series.
