Rome, 27 April 2024 – Agreement reached between Enel and Electricity Trade Unions Filctem Cgil, Flaei-Cisl and Uiltec. The dialogue between the company and the unions, we read in a note released by the group, “has made it possible to overcome the dispute started in recent months and to identify a shared path that puts people, networks and the energy transition at the centre”. The agreement reached, explains the note, “confirms the current organization of activities and launches a technical study on new operating models to identify the best solutions with a view to flexibility, efficiency and safety in the workplace. The discussion between the parties has led to shared solutions that will contribute to the economic growth of the territory and the development of the country system, encouraging the electrification of consumption”.

“There is a willingness on the part of the company and the trade unions to work together to continue to enhance strategic assets such as the Italian distribution network, fundamental for the energy transition and at the center of Enel’s Industrial Plan with investments for 12.2 billion. Precisely to support the implementation of the Strategic Plan, Enel and the trade unions have agreed up to 2,000 new entries into the network in the years 2024-2026″.

“Finally, Enel and the unions undertake to activate joint initiatives in order to support, at every institutional level, activities aimed at fair, safe and sustainable energy transition, also through the extension of expiring concessions. From this perspective, they believe it is essential to ensure and preserve the unity of the Enel distribution network at a national level, promoting all actions useful to guarantee its long-term stability and geographical continuity”.

Italian companies ready to hire in 2024

In addition to the 2000 new jobs offered by Is in the, other companies are also ready to hire en masse throughout Italy. There Credem banking company, for example, continues to grow and increase its workforce. After the 70 hires it has already made in the first quarter of the year, the institute has announced an insertion plan that will lead the Group to count 300 more operators by 2024.

The numerous jobs that Credem Banca will create during the year are intended for high school and university graduates. The selections will focus not only on technical aspects, but also on psycho-attitudinal ones, such as ability to learn, motivation, desire to grow and soft skills.

Recently, even the group Bnl Bnp Paribas has signed an agreement with the sector unions which provides well 750 new hires in the bank thanks to a voluntary exit plan.

The agreement is aimed at encouraging generational change: thanks to’exit of approximately 1000 workers who have reached the requirements for the old-age pension or are close to reaching them, young people will be included to support the transformation and evolution path that the bank is carrying out.

Also the Deichmann SE chainwhich matters 4600 stores in 31 countries of the world specialized in the sale of footwear, bags and fashion accessories, is carrying out a growth plan in Italy which will see the opening of new sales points and well 200 staff hires in 2024. Last March alone, the Group inaugurated 4 new stores, of which 3 in Sicily and one in Piedmont. By the end of 2024, the opening of 35 new stores is planned throughout Italy.

And again, last April 10th a meeting took place at Palazzo Piacentini between the Minister of Business and Made in Italy Adolfo Urso and Marco Travaglia, president and CEO of Nestlé Italia, for the presentation of a project which will see the creation of a new Nestlé factory in Mantua. The new production site of the well-known multinational will be dedicated to the production of wet pet food.

The new industrial plant will have positive implications onemployment in Lombardy. It is estimated, in fact, that the factory will create 300 new jobs at Nestlé. Further hiring will also be generated by related industries.

There is also one of the companies ready to hire Amazon: thanks to the opening of the new maxi hub in Jesi, which will be operational from the second half of 2025, they will be well 1000 jobs that Amazon intends to create with the new opening. The placements will be added to the 18,000 already created by the Group across the national territory, of which 6,500 in Central-Southern Italy. These will be stable hires, with permanent contracts.
