Cover

The book by the Manduria endocrinologist will be presented tomorrow, Friday 29 March, in the Mondadori Bookstore in via Corso XX Settembre in Manduria. Giovanna Muscogiuri, entitled “Circadian dance”. The work published by Mondadori will be presented by the author starting at 6 pm.

In this book, the surgeon, specialist in endocrinology and metabolic diseases and researcher at the Federico II University of Naples, takes the reader on a journey through the mysterious meanders of circadian rhythms, the invisible orchestrators of our well-being, which they synchronize the body’s response to the daily cycle of light and dark.

The author introduces the master watchmakers who regulate the functioning of the biological clock and the hormones that influence the work of the brain and organs, intervening in relationships with the outside world, directing our behaviors and guiding our choices in carrying out daily activities. «Because there is a time for everything, and every cell, tissue and function of our organism – we read -, has its own times and following these times contributes to the general well-being of the organism and reduces the risk of developing diseases». In this hymn to time, the author invites the reader to dance in step with their own organism, at any stage of life. At the end of the scheduled meeting, sign copies with the author.
