Applications are now open for Motorway toll bonus 2024. The set date is June 5th, from which you will be able to make your requests for financial support. In fact, it is a contribution for the reduction of tolls in 2023, as envisaged by the dedicated toll bonus. The procedure foresees two distinct phases and below we report all the details.
Toll bonus, who it is aimed at
The objective of the motorway toll bonus is to guarantee a measure to reduce the costs incurred at the toll booth by hauliers. One compensated discount, with a reduction varying from 1 to 13%. This percentage depends on the type of vehicle used, as well as on your turnover.
Specifically, the subjects authorized to apply for this tax contribution are those who, as of 31 December 2022, and during 2023, were registered in the National Register of natural and legal persons who carry out the road transport of goods on behalf of third parties, as companies, cooperatives, consortia or consortium companies. The same goes for theNational register of road hauliers.
The possibility of access to the benefit is also guaranteed for road haulage companies of goods on their own account or on behalf of third parties, with headquarters in one of the European Union member countries. To be able to make a request of this kind, however, you must be able to boast the necessary license. The same goes for Switzerland and England.
How to apply
The fund sanctioned for the toll bonus is approximately 148 million euros. A sum guaranteed to companies to partially alleviate the burden of motorway costs incurred during the last year, from 1 January to 31 December 2023. As regards vehicles, however, it must be clarified that we are only talking about vehicles falling into the categories Euro 5, Euro 6 or higherwith alternative or electric power supply.
The brackets are calculated on the basis of the annual global turnover, the ecological class of the vehicle and the relative reduction percentage. Anyone interested in submitting an application, these start from June 5th, as mentioned. The management of the discount for hauliers is entrusted to the Central Committee for the Register of Hauliers and below we explain how to make a request.
Green light starting from 9.00 am on Wednesday 5 June. The possibility to apply will be valid until 2pm on Tuesday 11 June. Everything happens electronically, without the need to go to any office. Through the Register Portal you can make a request exclusively via the “Tolls” application.
The second and final step will instead start at 9am on Monday 24 June. It will instead end at 2pm on Sunday 21 July. This last step involves entering all the data relating to the application. The digital signature and sending of the application are then added.
