Dutch riot police clashed with protesters yesterday
pro-Palestinians, as officers entered to remove barricades at the University of Amsterdam, the scene of riots since Monday. Police said late in the evening that they had arrested 32 people for “violence, destruction and aggression” at the university and on a major road in the center of the capital. at the Binnengasthuis building in the center of Amsterdam. Police said protesters then blocked a major local road called Rokin where more violence erupted, adding that protesters “threw ammonia at riot police.” Students demand that the University of Amsterdam (UVA) sever ties with Israel.
