A rare one tornado it fell upon Abha, a city in Saudi Arabia in the province of Asir. The images accompanying the article show the frightening vortex lifting debris from the ground while looming menacingly in the sky. The tornado is very dark, probably due to the amount of dust raised, and has impressive dimensions. This is the 3rd disaster of this type, after the severe damage caused by tornadoes in Nebraska and Iowa And China in the last two days.
The official spokesperson for the National Meteorological Center of Saudi Arabia, Hussein Al-Qahtani, said that it was a tornado of moderate speed, a consequence of the meteorological conditions affecting the region. He urged everyone to pay attention and stay away from such weather phenomena when they witness it. At the moment there are no official reports of damage but, judging from the debris raised and the size of the tornado, it is unlikely that this event did not cause damage.
