Spain, Begoña Gómez, wife of Prime Minister Sánchez, is under investigation: she is accused of corruption

Madrid judge Juan Carlos Peinados opened preliminary proceedings against Gómez, to investigate his relationships with several private companies that received public funds and contracts from her husband’s government. Asked about this during this morning’s parliamentary hearing, Sanchez he replied: «Despite days like this, I still believe in justice».
Sources from Moncloa, the government building, accuse the People’s Party and Vox of “having crossed a limit never crossed before in Spanish politics”, by publishing the news without the interested party having been notified first.
