A man who barricaded himself in an Iranian consulate building in the 16th arrondissement of Paris has been arrested. The subject allegedly said he “wanted to avenge his brother”. Bfmtv reports it. According to prefecture sources, cited by le Figaro, the man – who was seen entering the consulate around 11 am – had a grenade or explosive vest with him. Details, the latter, later denied. Land rapid intervention brigades (BRI) are also inspecting the vehicle belonging to the man and the entire area, which remains inaccessible to passers-by.
